Jeremiah 44:3-5

³ This is because of the sins they did that made Me angry. They kept burning special perfume and worshiping other gods whom they, you, and your fathers had not known. ⁴ Yet I sent you all My servants who spoke for Me again and again, saying, “O, do not do this very sinful thing which I hate!” ⁵ But they did not listen and would not turn from their sinful ways. They would not stop burning special perfume to other gods.
